B*Dazzled Dancers Attendance Policies
Late Arrival to Class
Late arrival to class must be discouraged as classes are structured to accommodate warming up the body properly. Coming in late is dangerous to the muscles and disrupts the concentration of the class. Therefore, students arriving more than 15 minutes late will be asked to sit and watch rather than participate.
Absences
Please report all absences to the studio by calling (510)278-9035 or emailing admin@bdazzleddancers.com. Missed classes cannot be made up unless approved by your teacher. If approved, we allow no more than 3 made up classes per season. Thank you for your understanding.
Observing Class
If need be parents in Creative Classes can observe the first 5 minutes of class and should kindly exit after that. This is not only an issue of space, but also of not distracting the students. We have limited time with your dancer and want to make class as productive as possible. We also want to keep our environment safe for other dancers taking class and when our lobby is crowded it makes it difficult for transitions. We will upload videos at least twice a month for you to observe.
B*Dazzled Studio Attire Requirements
All dancers must come prepared in the proper attire and shoes to each class
All shoes, tights and dance wear can be purchased from our in house store B*Dazzled Boutique, or any local dance merchant.
With the exception of Ballet, hair should always be pulled back neatly into a pony with no bangs or wisps. Hair for ballet should be pulled back into a neat bun with a hair net and pins securing it.
Creative 3-4 yrs
Leotard: Any color, any style. Skirt is optional but must be attached.
Tights for class: Balera skin color
Tights for shows: Capezio skin color Convertible
Boys: Fitted tank top and shorts
Shoes: White Ballet
Jazz
Leotard or Crop Fitted Top: Any color, any style
Shorts: Only shorts permitted over leotard are short tight style “ booty shorts”
Tights for class: Balera skin color
Tights for shows: Capezio skin color =
Boys: Tank top and shorts
Shoes: Capezio EJ2 (Please double check with your teacher as color may change for different costumes).
Lyrical
Leotard or Fitted Crop Top: Black, any style (no skirt)
Shorts: Only shorts permitted over leotard are black short tight style “ bootie shorts”
Tights for class: Balera skin color
Tights for shows: Capezio skin color
Shoes: Capezio EJ2
Tumbling
Leotard: Any color, any style
Shorts: Only shorts permitted over leotard are short tight style “ bootie shorts”
Tights for shows: Capezio convertible style for shows, tights aren't necessary for class.
Ballet
Leotard: Black, any style (no skirt)
Tights: Ballet pink
Shoes: Pink Ballet
Tap
Leotard or Fitted Crop Top: Any color, any style
Shorts: Only shorts permitted over leotard are short tight style “bootie shorts”
Tights: Balera skin color
Shoes: Young kids: Tan or black strapped Mary Jane Style (check with your teacher for exact color). Older dancers will wear black lace up taps.
Hip Hop
Any exercise clothes, sweat pants, windbreakers, any baggy pants. Loose t shirt NO JEANS!
Shoes: Dance sneakers. Shoes must be strictly for dance class. Any shoes with outside wear will not be permitted on the dance floor.
For dancers taking hip hop flip flop please please wear a fitted top.
Most shoes are in stock or can be ordered and will be here by your dancers first day of class.
